Uncomplicated financial assistance for out-of-pocket medical needs
Providing financial assistance is one of the most critical ways we support the care of children with undiagnosed, neurological conditions and their families.
Children with undiagnosed, neurological conditions require ongoing care from multiple primary, specialty, and other healthcare service providers, as well as in-home medical equipment and treatments to support their health and daily lives. Even families with “good” insurance, Medicaid or higher incomes can become financially overwhelmed and rack up significant debt with the many out-of-pocket health expenses they acquire to adequately care for their child.
Easy, financial assistance
The JJMF provides grants for families to relieve some of the financial burdens of the conditions. The grants help to pay for many essential items not covered or only partially covered by insurance, such as medical care, medications, medical equipment, in-home nursing, respite care, specialized formula, and more.
When establishing the JJMF’s financial support for families, we had one primary goal in mind: to make the process easy. We understand the mounds of paperwork and lengthy applications families are required to complete on an ongoing basis, and we work to make the process as seamless and quick as possible for them, helping to relieve some of their financial stress.
Please note that JJMF does not currently grant assistance for travel expenses, iPad/tablets (even when used as AAC devices), home renovations or vehicle purchases/repairs/modifications.
