George is the happiest, friendliest little boy. He loves puzzles, spending time with friends and family, playing tball, and swimming. George was diagnosed at 2 years old with HNRNPU- seizures, intellectual disability, and poor muscle control.
JJMF was able to contribute a portion of the cost of a Keenz Stroller Wagon for George through our financial assistance program. Kara, George’s mom, has expressed gratitude for this grant, saying,
“We received financial assistance with the support of JJMF to purchase a wagon for my son, George. The wagon has allowed for us to travel to places that are difficult for George to navigate due to his poor muscle control and being easily fatigued. Over the past year, he has been able to explore multiple beaches, farmers markets, and zoos, tour Charleston, SC, and enjoy the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ with his immediate and extended family.
While it seems like something so small, the wagon has given George the ability to see things that he wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy to the same capacity. The joy on his face in enjoying and participating in all of the same activities as his brothers and cousins has truly been amazing. As parents we also have the added security of knowing that in the event of a seizure or accident, we have a safe space to give him his privacy and administer rescue medications if needed.
Words cannot begin to describe how appreciative we are for the JJMF for allowing George and our family the ability to make these lifelong memories.”
