JJMF Virtual Support Group
Connecting with other families who understand what it means to be a medical parent or caregiver to a child with a complex neurological condition is an important aspect of caring for your mental health. To promote positive connections, the JJMF offers a Virtual Support Group with each session addressing an overarching conversation topic. Additionally, the Virtual Support Group serves as a safe space to lend and receive emotional support, share resources, ask questions and engage in honest conversations about the triumph and challenges of caring for a child with medical complexities.
Each Virtual Support Group session is led by a member of our Community Engagement Team, including Karlita Blackwell and Susan Leigh. Karlita, who holds a masters degree in counseling, and Susan, a licensed clinical social worker, are both parents of children with complex neurological conditions themselves. If you have any questions, please reach out to Karlita at karlita@junejessee.org and Susan at susan@junejessee.org.
